چکیده
Corrections concern the results given in Section 4 of the above paper for the local polynomial Wigner-Ville estimator. These corrections refine the assumption about the correlation function of the continuous time observation noise and Eq. (38) for the covariance matrix of the local polynomial WVD estimator. We wish to emphasize that the produced corrections do not influence the comparative accuracy analysis given in Section 5.

On minimax lower bound for time-varying frequency estimation of harmonic signal
Estimation of the instantaneous frequency and its derivatives is considered for a harmonic signal with a time-varying phase and time-invariant amplitude. The asymptotic minimax lower bound is derived for the mean squared error of estimation provided that the phase is an arbitrary m-times piece-wise differentiable function of time. It is shown that this lower bound is different only in a constan...
متن کاملA New High Frequency Grid Impedance Estimation Technique for the Frequency Range of 2 to150 kHz
Grid impedance estimation is used in many power system applications such as grid connected renewable energy systems and power quality analysis of smart grids. The grid impedance estimation techniques based on signal injection uses Ohm’s law for the estimation. In these methods, one or several signal(s) is (are) injected to Point of Common Coupling (PCC). Then the current through and voltage of ...
متن کاملEstimation of the instantaneous amplitude and frequency of non-stationary short-time signals
We consider the modeling of non-stationary discrete signals whose amplitude and frequency are assumed to be nonlinearly modulated over very short-time duration. We investigate the case where both instantaneous amplitude and frequency can be approximated by orthonormal polynomials. Previous works dealing with polynomial approximations refer to orthonormal bases built from a discretization of con...
متن کاملPhase Local Approximation (PhaseLa) Technique for Phase Unwrap From Noisy Data
The local polynomial approximation (LPA) is a nonparametric regression technique with pointwise estimation in a sliding window. We apply the LPA of the argument of cos and sin in order to estimate the absolute phase from noisy wrapped phase data. Using the intersection of confidence interval (HCI) algorithm, the window size is selected as adaptive pointwise varying. This adaptation gives the ph...
متن کاملA Novel Sampling Approach in GNSS-RO Receivers with Open Loop Tracking Method
Propagation of radio occultation (RO) signals through the lower troposphere results in high phase acceleration and low signal to noise ratio signal. The excess Doppler estimation accuracy in lower troposphere is very important in receiving RO signals which can be estimated by sliding window spectral analysis. To do this, various frequency estimation methods such as MUSIC and ESPRIT can be adopt...
